Q Style BR930 Relays

Of modular plug-in design, the relays are secured in their mating plug boards by a wire retaining clip. Interlocking of the relay and plugboard is achieved by a pin code registration system which ensures that only those relays having the same pin code as the plugboard can be interchanged.

The contact arrangement for each relay is as specified in the relevant BR standard and up to 16 pairs of contacts can be accommodated in the same housing, with front contacts being normally open and back contacts normally closed. Contact pairs typically consist of a domed silver tip, mating with a flat, silver/carbon tip and all contacts are rated in accordance with the appropriate BR specification.

Key features
  • Non-weld silver and silver impregnated carbon contact tips
  • Automated vision system and operator inspection
  • Comprehensive automated end of line testing
  • End of line test results available on request
  • Certificate of Conformity supplied with each order
  • Recertification and repair services available
  • Bespoke design services

Relay Doc

The Mors Smitt RelayDoc is designed and customised to provide controlled auditable testing of customer specific BR930/Q-Style signalling relays in accordance with their original BRB design specifications. Most BR930/Q-Style relays can be tested easily and quickly using an intuitive touch screen interface allowing immediate pass/fail results. RelayDoc automatically detects the pin code of relays to be tested and records and saves all test results. Reports are displayed on the touch screen and stored on board for later viewing or retrieval to a USB storage device. Reports are also synchronised to a cloud database via LAN or optional Wi-Fi providing analysis and reporting tools.

RelayDoc can be supplied in a rugged portable case which is ideal for workshop or trackside use. Optional extras include a USB barcode reader used for entering relay serial numbers. Standard power supply voltage is 240 VAC and this can be customised to suit any specific customer requirements.
